What my classmates think about advertising VS Marketing

First off im using the opinions of three women from the class. That being said they are all fashion student funny isnt it? im Rebecca says that "advertising is most essential for sales". Shantay explains " Without advertising there will be no marketing". Maryann thinks " Advertising is key". Can sombody help me these three women have no idea what they are talking about before a bussiness advertises it must first market duh ladies if you werent so stuck on fashon commercials you would understand this concept. Did red bull when they first came out advertise on TV or did they not first give out free product on street corners and events then when they seen the demand people had for there product then and only then did they start to advertise on television. Please someone help these ladies they have hope. I guess i win battle over congradulations KINGZION.

What is the difference between marketing and advertising? well for starters the defintion for marketing is the total of activities involved in the transfer of goods from the producer or seller to the consumer or buyer, including advertising, shipping, storing, and selling. And for advertising is the act or practice of calling public attention to one's product, service, need, etc., esp. by paid announcements in newspapers and magazines, over radio or television, on billboards, etc.: to get more customers by advertising. That being understood one can see how marketing deals more with ligistics and advertising deals more with getting the word out there. But advertising still falls into the category of marketing but marketing is the foundation of advertising. One would think that advertisint and marketing are the same but they are not.

week 2 my demograhic

Race, ethnicity, sex and how it influences what i buy. My race is black my ethnicity is Ethiopian pure bred also I am a male. I base What i buy on how good it looks and the price i can care less on the latest fashions as long as I look good. Being a cushite aka Ethiopian in my opinion made me more of a trend setter instead of follower. I love to buy and wear things that represent my homeland for example Rastafarian clothes the green yellow and red T-shirts head bands Etc. I love music being an African i have been exposed to alot of different genres of music, you can say "I am music" I literally love all music whether it be Hindu tribal music to country. Music is life so i will buy or download any type of genre available. Being a black man of course i love my hip-hop, I like to buy things that are different not the trendy things but the weird things. Me personally i buy what i need sometimes also what I want, but im not into the vanity too much. Due to my roots i am very family oriented I spend alot of my money on family events BBQ's , birthdays, family outings ect. Also i spend my money on events concerts classical baroque to rock all music as I said earlier.

Service When have i received great service? ah ha now i remember it was about 10 minutes ago. As i was sitting here writing my blog at Starbucks i ordered a medium excuse me a grande sadamo coffee Ethiopian coffee that is, then a beautiful young lady brings me a sliver jug full of coffee about 4 cups worth why she did this? i don't know. But who cares its the least they can do since they own almost all the coffee fields in Ethiopia thank you WORLD BANK but any way. I dont have much to say when it comes to this subject I am just writing because my insturctor said my blog entry was not long enough. I dont think there is a such thing as true service in my book and i dont really care I wonder if I could strecth this blog into more than 300 words, im almost there. By the way like I said before I dont have much to say on this subject I am about to fall asleep.
